The Bruce Wenger Food Bank of West Hempstead in partnership with The Marion and Aaron Gural JCC is doing a seudah in a box this year for those in need or no place to go. They are giving two meals- the Purim seudah and Shabbos lunch. Please let us know by Monday night, if you need, by sending an email to: info@whfoodbank.org
 
Meals will be available for pick up only at the SHOP at the Marion and Aaron Gural JCC, 207 Grove Ave Cedarhurst on THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

Upon arrival, say “I’m picking up for Tsvi Kushner from West Hempstead.”

IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ

Pesach Info

The Food Bank will be closed the evening of March 11th in order to change over to Kosher for Passover. We will re-open Wednesday March 17th for your Pesach needs.

Please note that there will be multiple deliveries throughout the weeks prior to Pesach.

We recommend you plan a few visits during that time.

Shmurah Matzah
Please note we will be providing shmurah matzah as usual.

Unfortunately, due to anticipated shortage again this year we can only get regular hand shmurah – Whole Wheat and other varieties will not be available.

The combination to access the Food Bank will be changing effective with the re-opening on March 17th.

You must contact your shaliach in order to gain access with the new code.

Food Bank Entry Policy
Due to Covid Virus Precautions

 

The following guidelines must be adhered to:

 

1. Only enter the foodbank if you are wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose. It should remain on you the entire time you are in the foodbank.

 

2. If you or someone in your household is in quarantine, is awaiting testing results, or has tested positive to Covid, please do not enter the foodbank until the 14-day quarantine period has been completed.

 

·        If you are in need of food please be in contact with your shaliach and ask them to pick up what you need for you.

 

·        If you can not get through to your shiliach or you do not have a shaliach, please contact David 516-306-9512 or Lynn 516-996-3261.

 

3. Please remember that there are others that need to use the foodbank so please try to be in and out within 10 minutes.
